Good Friendships=The Fountain of Youth?
Turns out, having strong friendships is an important factor in a long and happy life…
One of the many things centenarians in the Blue Zones have in common? Lots of good friends!
Recipe of the Month
Our friends at Unidine, the food service company here at FBH, have a great new recipe to share with us this month!
As part of a recent “Stop Food Waste Day,” Unidine shared with us this recipe that makes use of leftovers to create a delicious, fast, and easy snack or meal.
- 4 cups cooked leftover veggies (asparagus, broccoli, etc.)
- 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 ounce nuts or seeds (walnuts, sunflower seeds)
- 2 garlic cloves, peeled
- ½ cup shredded hard cheese (Parmesan or Romano)
- Salt and pepper to taste
In a food processor, add all of the ingredients except the oil and blend thoroughly.
Stream the oil in slowly; add salt and pepper to taste.
Serve over pasta, as a dip for veggies and crackers, etc.
